I most enjoy working with a compassionate, skilled team with the common goal of educating a caring client while helping their pets to have healthier and more comfortable lives for as long as possible.
Specialty: I greatly enjoy and am most interested in preforming surgery on pets for both routine and emergency cases.
My Pets: I am blessed to live on a farm and have 5 horses which are mostly pasture ornaments unless we take them on a local trail ride. I have three cats. Maggie who is strictly indoor was adopted when I was in vet school so she put up with my crazy schedule and hours of studying and has made several 9 hour trips between Kentucky and Alabama. The other two are indoor/outdoor barn cats who love to hunt mice and other rodents on the farm. I have a 110 pound German Shepherd who loves his mama and is a great guard dog but also loves to play fetch with anything and everything. The other dog is a young Golden Retriever that I got my husband for Christmas, she thinks she owns the couch and loves children. I also share ownership of 30 head of angus cross cattle at my parent’s farm.
Hobbies: When away from work, I most enjoy spending time with my husband and family on our farm. I love being outside in the sunshine running, or riding one of our horses. I also enjoy curling up with a good book.

Supporting the human-animal bond is one of the primary reasons I was eager to join this field of work. The most enjoyable aspect of general practice for me is essentially “growing” with a pet. Helping support pet owners from their first puppy visits to senior wellness exams through education and communication.
Specialty: Two aspects of veterinary medicine that interest me are spectrum of care and neurology. While seemingly appearing to exist on opposite sides of the speciality arch, I believe one of the strongest tools available to every veterinarian is their physical exam. Over my career I hope to strengthen all aspects of my physical exam, from neurolocalization to general assessments, all to provide optimal care for all my patients.
My Pets: I have an absolute nutcase of a border collie mix. Her name is Stella and she is all work and no play. She loves doing agility work and isn’t the least bit interested in social play at the dog park. She’s not a fan of flying insects and a large supporter of Costco’s Chicken and Apple treats.
Hobbies: With life so short, how can one not enjoy food? My wife and I love exploring new cuisines —any recommendations are appreciated! While glutinous, I do enjoy eating food much more than making food. Similar to the hobbits of middle earth who have a deep love to grow things, I love caring for plants. Particularly, the temperamental ones. I hope to have a vegetable and rose garden soon!

The mystery behind each case intrigues me. Each case offers a new challenge. A full physical exam and a detailed history start the search and diagnostics and treatment solve it (hopefully). The teamwork involved with medicine makes it enjoyable. A veterinarian is nothing without their technicians and support staff. We all do our best everyday and can only strive to improve.
Specialty: Ophthalmology, Diagnostics and Surgery
My Pets: I have 6 cats (house and barn) – Shamoo, Fatty, Elmer, Charlie, Curley, and Shorty. 2 horses -Angel and Rosie. I also foster kittens, so there are always new babies here.
